Our Weekend

Wow, its Monday again already? 

We've had such a lovely weekend so I thought I would share with you guys what we got up to!

On Saturday we woke up to awful rain but we decided it wasn't going to stop us from having fun so we threw on some warm clothes, Livvy had her wellies at the ready and we set off for a family walk along the coast. In true Brit weather style the moment we set off the sun started beaming and the black clouds started clearing. It looked like it could change back any second though and we were on a limited time frame because Livvy was getting tired so we didn't turn back to get changed as you will see in the photos now.

Seconds after this was taken she got a little scared by a big wave and fell over into the sea!

So Mummy got her into some clean, dry clothes and explained its okay to be a little afraid but there was nothing to worry about because we were with her.

She was fascinated by the waves crashing and kept saying "wow" at them like she always does when she sees the sea. She was so quiet and calm watching them. Afterwards we went to get some lunch at a cafe then headed home for nap time. We were right to keep our warm coats on as it started raining again on the way home. The rain didn't stop for the rest of the day so we spent the afternoon cuddled up on the sofa and doing some indoor games. Then we watched the Eurovision song contest in the evening and filled our faces with Pringles and chocolate! 

On Sunday we decided to have a day at home. I made some yummy chocolate cupcakes (that I forgot to take a photo of oops) whilst Matt went to pick up a new sand and water table for Livvy for the garden. She always loves playing in the one they have at playgroup so we thought now the garden has been cleaned for her to play in we would start with buying that. She was fast asleep when he got home with it so we set it up and waited. When she woke up I asked her if she wanted to go out in the garden so she grabbed her shoes and as soon as she got to the back door and saw the table she was giggling and smiling and so so excited. 

Again the weather decided to be totally unpredictable and ten minutes after she went outside black clouds rolled in and it poured down for the rest of the day! So again it was an afternoon of playing indoors and making sticker pictures. We also devoured ALL the cupcakes haha ;)
